GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT PPF
GYEON PPF, better known as Paint Protection Film, it is a thick, clear urethane material designed to protect all the shiny parts of your vehicle, both inside and out.
Our films are available in 2 versions:
ENHANCE | A film designed to maximize the potential of your paint. With extreme clarity and depth, combined with hydrophobic and self-healing properties, ENHANCE is the solution for durable protection against mechanical damage without compromising appearance.
PROTECT+ | With maximum resistance and protection in mind, PROTECT+ is designed for vehicles exposed to harsh chemical and mechanical influences. It's easy to apply, has a low risk of stretch marks, and boasts excellent self-healing properties.
Both films have the same thickness of 8 mils / 203 microns, but are distinguished by their unique top layer and are available in the standard dimensions of 15 x 1524 mm.
GYEON films are available to all customers, but we recommend having them applied by a professional for optimal results.
Both GYEON PPF films can be applied to any glossy surface of your vehicle, both inside and out. It can be painted, plastic, metal, or chrome. As long as the surface isn't textured, you can apply PPF to it. GYEON PPF can be applied to new or used vehicles with the proper surface preparation. If your vehicle has special decals, you can apply GYEON PPF over them.
Please note, however, that the texture or finish of the stickers may change after the film is applied. If you choose to partially protect specific panels, such as a hood, be aware that the thin film will make the edges visible after application.
If the surface you want to protect is freshly painted, we recommend waiting at least 14 days before applying GYEON PPF.
GYEON PPF is a protective shield designed to protect every exterior surface of your vehicle from mechanical and chemical influences.
Both films, PROTECT+ and ENHANCE, share exceptional hydrophobic and self-healing properties, making them the alternative when it comes to protection.
As thick and resistant as Gyeon ENHANCE and PROTECT+ are, they don’t make your car bulletproof.
Think of paint protection film as a second skin for your paintwork—it's somewhat resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. The film is designed to absorb light scratches, but just like your paintwork, it will still be susceptible to swirl marks and deep scuffs.
And remember: protecting your car with PPF doesn't mean it no longer needs proper maintenance!
After your vehicle has been protected with GYEON PPF, it still needs proper maintenance the GYEON way! You can continue to wash your vehicle using the traditional 2-bucket method and GYEON maintenance products. Specifically for vehicles with PPF, we've developed a complete line of maintenance and protection products to ensure the perfect lifespan of our paint protection film.
To wash your vehicle with GYEON PPF, use Q²M PPF Wash, a super-slick and foaming shampoo designed to remove embedded light iron contaminants from the film. This shampoo can also be used on the entire exterior of your vehicle. After your vehicle has been fully washed, we recommend applying Q²M PPF Maintain, our silica spray sealant for PPF and wraps. Designed to improve water repellency, gloss, and smoothness in one go! Over time, film properties can diminish. Therefore, you can chemically clean the film with Q²M PPF Renew, a specialized cleaner for glossy protective film and wraps. To restore water repellency, you can coat the film with Q²PPF, a specialized flexible coating for PPF and wraps, with incredible water repellency and UV resistance.
